Carpal Tunnel Exercises
Part 3
Here
is a quick test to figure out if spine angle (low back)
is starting to lose its normal curvature and causing your
carpal tunnel pain.
You might be
suprised to learn that this is what causes
80% of carpal tunnel, cubital tunnel, numbness and other
related forearm pain.
Sit down on
the floor, and scoot your butt up against the
wall as close as possible.
Straighten out
your legs in front of you and keep your
knees locked and avoid having your feet flopping out to the
side.
Keep your toes
pointing towards the ceiling.
Try and scoot
your butt up against the wall as close as
possible keeping your back against the wall and your
legs straight.
Can you do this
at all?
Is there a space
between your butt and the wall?
Does this increase
the pain,tingling or burning down
your arm, neck or legs?
Pulling in the
neck area? One side more than the other?
If this exercise
is challenging then you have real
short hamstrings that is causing you to lose the normal
curvature of your spine which in turn can lead to carpal
tunnel.
Congratulations,
you have just pin-pointed one of the
reasons you are suffering from carpal tunnel symptoms.
